Ms Kavya Iyer

HR Manager

Finlark Technologies

Dear Ms Iyer,

Request for relieving letter

I worked at Finlark Technologies as Senior Software Engineer, and my last working day was 1 May 2026. I have served my notice period and handed over my work.

Could you please issue my relieving letter at your earliest convenience? My new employer needs it to complete my joining formalities.

Please let me know if you need anything more from me. Thank you for your help.

Yours sincerely,

Arjun Mehta

What makes it work

  • The facts HR will check. His position and his last working day, so HR can find his record and see that he served his notice.
  • What he needs, and why. A relieving letter, for his new employer’s joining formalities. A reason helps HR see it is urgent.
  • An open close. He offers to send anything more they need, which is often a no-dues form or the return of a laptop.

Make it yours

  • Many companies give you the relieving letter on your last day, or once your full and final settlement is done. Ask about the timing before you leave.
  • If your last day is still to come, ask for the letter to be ready on that day.
  • Send it to HR by email, and keep their reply.
