Is it really free?
Yes. Making CVs and downloading them as PDFs is free for good, with no watermark and no card. Premium templates are free until 1 January 2027 and then join a paid plan; CVs you made with them before then keep downloading. Paid extras will come later.
Why do I need an account?
Your CVs are saved to it, so they are on every device and nothing is lost if you close the tab. Signing in is one screen: a code sent to your email, or your Google, Microsoft or GitHub account. There is no password to remember.
CV or resume: what is the difference?
In the US and Canada, a resume is a short summary, usually one page. In the UK, Europe and India, CV is the usual word, and it can run longer. Either way, it is the same document here: your CV.
Can applicant tracking systems read my CV?
Every template makes a PDF with real text in a simple reading order, and we test each one by reading its text back out. No one can promise how a particular employer's system will rank you, but your CV will be readable.
